The 3D-TOPO project aims to establish a lasting interdisciplinary consortium to uncover novel polar topological states in both solid and soft ferroelectric materials, through the full reconstruction of their 3D texture and in-depth exploration of their static and dynamic properties. By focusing on the interplay between properties these materials and integrating experimental and theoretical approaches, the project seeks to reveal new functionalities with potential applications in energy-efficient processing circuits, non-binary computing, optoelectronics, and advanced sensing technologies.
